Bio
Luca Terenzi is an Italian visual artist and illustrator, he currently resides in the northeastern Italian countryside near Venice. He holds a degree in Philosophy and History. He works as a Philosophy teacher, as a concept designer, and as an illustrator. In his illustrations, he explores worlds at the intersection of philosophy and other disciplines.
Art
Luca has always been a self-taught artist in drawing and figurative representation, with a brief stint at the Comics School of Padua. His distinctive style blends analogue and digital techniques, often utilizing textures from natural surfaces (like stone) and artificial ones (such as paper or masonry). His figures' contours are meticulously drawn with a ballpoint pen.
He paints on large, often precarious supports, such as discarded packing cartons, paper from advertising flyers, newspaper clippings, and paper tape. He integrates these with acrylic or oil paint and makes extensive use of black ink markers.
Poetic
Luca’s work is deeply imbued with themes of Nature and History, seamlessly intertwining these dimensions. Human beings, along with their material and digital creations and symbols, are depicted as small elements within a vast, all-encompassing natural universe where they integrate and dissolve. His art seeks to mirror the fractal structure of the natural landscape through graphic elements, highlighting the similarity between microscopic (e.g., stone) and macroscopic (e.g., mountain) surfaces. He is particularly drawn to themes that emphasize the cyclical nature of humanity, species motivations, ancestral symbols, and rites of passage.
Works
Luca creates illustrations for publishing, participates in group exhibitions, and works on animated video documentaries.

Interests
He is particularly interested in editorial projects, authorial projects, fashion and music industry.
